CASE STUDY · AI CREATIVE DIRECTION
A debut EP's whole visual world, directed frame by frame.
An independent musician needed a cohesive image-and-video package for a debut EP — fast, distinctive, and unmistakably theirs. NOKTIS directed the AI instead of letting it improvise, and delivered a ready-to-publish asset set that stayed on-concept across every frame.

The AI challenge
Generative tools are fast, but speed is not the problem — coherence is. Raw output looked like ten different artists made it.
01No Visual Through-Line
Each prompt produced a striking one-off, but nothing held together as a body of work. A launch needs a world, not a mood board of accidents.
02Generic AI Sheen
Default models drifted toward the over-rendered, plastic look that signals 'AI made this' — the opposite of a credible artist identity.
03Publish-Ready, Not Almost
The artist needed finished assets to schedule against a release date, not a folder of near-misses to fix by hand.
Creative Strategy
Lock the look, then let the model run.
We built a visual system first — palette, grain, lensing, and motion language — and held every generation to it.
The work that ships is the work you reject ten times before you keep it. Curation is the craft.
01Reference & Look Dev
Assembled a tight reference set and defined a monochrome, high-grain cinematic language the whole package would obey.
02Directed Generation
Art-directed across Midjourney and Runway — controlling composition, lighting, and continuity rather than prompting and hoping.
03Grade & Continuity
Upscaled, graded, and matched every still and clip so the EP read as one continuous visual world.
04Package & Handover
Delivered organized, publish-ready assets plus the prompts and recipes behind them, so the look can extend to future drops.
Selected frames
One world, every frame on concept.

Shipped results
A launch-ready package, handed over whole.
The artist walked away with assets they could schedule immediately — and the system to keep making more in the same language.
Image Set
A graded, on-concept set of key art and supporting stills sized for cover art, social, and press.
Motion Clips
Short directed video loops and transitions for teasers and release-day posts, cut to match the still language.
The Look System
References, prompts, and grading recipes handed over so the visual world extends to the next single without starting over.
We measure the work by what shipped and held up — a coherent visual identity delivered on the release timeline, with the system left in the artist's hands.
